Santa María de Lebeña, preciosa ermita mozárabe situada en el valle de Liébana, fue construida como capilla funeraria de Santo Toribio pero en la actualidad alberga la virgen María, una iconografía singular por ser una de las pocas tallas que existen de la virgen amamantando al niño Jesús con un pecho fuera. Si pasais por estos bellos parajes no dejesis de visitarla así como de atender a las explicaciones de la guía encargada del recinto, que es super simpática y amable.

Santa Maria de Lebeña, beautiful Mozarabic chapel in the valley of Liébana, was built as a funerary chapel of Santo Toribio but currently houses the Virgin Mary, a singular iconography as one of the few carvings that exists of the Virgin suckling the child Jesus with a chest out. If you pass by these beautiful places, don't hesitate to visit them and listen to the explanations of the guide in charge of the premises, which is super nice and friendly.
